My core insight: the most valuable lessons I used in high-stakes boardrooms weren't taught in business school. I learned them decades earlier, behind the counter of my parents' nine-square-meter provision shop in Jakarta.

This book is my attempt to pass that forward: an honest account of the unscheduled, unglamorous apprenticeship that happens underneath a career, for anyone who has ever wondered whether they belong at the table they finally got a seat at.

All proceeds from this book support education access for underserved children in Indonesia, along with scholarship support and mental health initiatives — causes shaped by the book's own themes of mentorship, learning, and the toll of overwork.
